Kenmei Do – The Path of Perfection – Kyori (Home)
I purchased this roll of Japanese incense sticks in early 2024 along with Fuko, another rose fragrance out of The Path of Perfection line.
The sticks are approximately 14 cm long. A roll contains about 36 pieces and costs around €7–9.
According to Sonnlicht, Kyori is a “magnificent rose-sandal fragrance made from rose, blossoms, fragrant woods, willow wood, and herbs.”

Similar to Fuko, Kyori also has a distinctly woody note, though I find it noticeably less smoky smelling than Fuko. Additionally, Kyori features a pronouncedly sweet rose scent that sets it apart in character.
It’s the kind of opulent rose sweetness that can quickly become too much for me, but in Kyori, the woods keep it quite well in check. Sandalwood doesn’t always come through.
Kyori has a stronger rose fragrance than Fuko. The scent is woody and occasionally smoky, but never piercing like Fuko. I find the fragrance to be quite balanced.
