PremaNature – Mystic Rose

I received this pack from PremaNature as a sample at the beginning of 2025.

A pack of PremaNature incense sticks contains 12 sticks of 8″ length; each burns for 45-55 minutes.
On the back, this pack carries a stamp with the batch number SS2106.

Bought directly from the PremaNature website, the sticks cost 5€ per pack, that makes about 0,42€ per stick. In Germany, they’re so far only sold by Indiaroma, where a pack costs 5,90€ (about 0,49€ per stick).

Ingredients: Theertham (energized water), Rozova dolina essential oil, Essential oil mix, Tree resin, High-quality & pure charcoal powder, Tectona grandis and Litsea glutinosa powder.

The ingredients list mentions “Rozova dolina essential oil“; actually meant is the essential oil of Rosa damascena from Rozova dolina, the Bulgarian ‘Valley of Roses’. David of PremaNature has told me that the ingredients list will be more clearly formulated on future boxes.

Mystic Rose have a powdery-soft and sweet rose fragrance. Rose scents of this type are often too much for me; I find the intense sweetness obtrusive quite quickly. However, since Mystic Rose are (like PremaNature incense sticks in general) rather mild, Mystic Rose remain pleasant for me.

Alongside the powdery softness, I also notice a waxy smell, as I’ve sometimes smelled in some other incense sticks, but especially in Nag Champa varieties. I still cannot tell what might be the source of this peculiar note.

Since I’m not a lover of rose fragrances, Mystic Rose don’t spark a storm of enthusiasm in me, but they have a pleasant, mild fragrance that will likely appeal to fans of this genre as well.
