Pema of Tibet – Faircense – Patchouli

Here is the main article about the Faircense line.
A pack of these Dry Masala incense sticks costs €4-5. It contains 10 sticks, which weigh about 10g and are 20cm long. The burning time is stated to be about 35 minutes.

I find Patchouli to smell very natural and authentic. There’s definitely not only essential oil used here, but the plant material itself. The scent has a deep, dark green, tart tone, which anyone who has ever burned patchouli leaves will be familiar with. The typical earthy note is clearly present, but not overpowering; it doesn’t slip into a mouldy tone.
The composition seems to be lightly sweetened, but the tart, herbal character is unarguably in the foreground.

I can recommend this Patchouli to anyone who wants naturally smelling patchouli incense sticks, in which the actual herb has been processed. The Patchouli cones by The Word Makes Scents are not dissimilar, but they contain no sweetness at all, like from benzoin or similar.
