Green Tree – Shambhala Path

This box is from my Ephra World order from the end of 2022. It cost €1.45 and contains 15g, which in this case was 10 sticks. The burning time is approx. 45 minutes. There is also a review of Shambhala Path on Incense in The Wind.

Shambhala Path has, based on what I remember, an intersection with Angel Love in that they have this strange, kind of citrusy freshness. Besides these, they remind me a little of Balaji – Red, but also slightly of Mystic Moon, and surprisingly, of Shoyeido – Emerald. The latter because of a special bitterness, which in Emerald probably comes from fennel.
The smell of Shambhala Path seems quite synthetic to me; there’s nothing I can identify. It has a strong cosmetic character, the scent appears like a strongly scented body lotion, hand cream or maybe a bath additive.
There is the aforementioned freshness, which seems citrusy and somehow floral, but in combination with the bitter note, it could also be interpreted as herbaceous. Furthermore, there is a generic sweetness that is somewhere between powdery and creamy.
My mom just came in, and I took the opportunity to ask her for her impression. Her impulse answer: “furniture polish.” I can’t disagree with that.

I don’t find Shambhala Path all that unpleasant, but I don’t find it particularly good either.
