Sree Vani – Little Lakxmi
Little Lakxmi was part of my last order at Ephra World Shop, at the end of 2022. They are run-of-the-mill masala sticks in the usual 15g pack, for €1.85, about €0.12 per stick.
The line is called the Little God Series, and Steve happened to review Little Ganesh, which I’d also been curious about.
Little Lakxmi is relatively strong in scent. The smell is very fresh, slightly spicy and tangy, which reminds me a bit of Vijayshree – Nag Mantra and its ‘lemon-pepper’ note. They are also resinous in a similar way.
Furthermore, Little Lakxmi falls into the category of scents that remind me of freshly washed laundry. It doesn’t smell exactly like detergent, but it’s in a similar vein and conveys a sense of cleanness. This gives them a similarity to Goloka – Tanishtha, but due to the spicy-fresh aspect, I find them more interesting than those.
In the background, I smell a slight sweetness, which complements the scent quite well.
Little Lakxmi are powerfully fresh incense sticks. I find the scent useful for eliminating bad smells. Having used up Tanishtha, we regularly use them following our meals, to chase away lingering cooking odours.
I’ve also noticed the detergent like fragrance, with the pink comfort (fabric softener) fragrance in this. I use it whenever I cook fish. However I loved their Lord hanuman.
