Holy Smokes – Feng Shui – Glück der Kinder

Here, you can read the main article about this line.
I bought this roll of Glück der Kinder [happiness of the children] along with some others from this line on Kleinanzeigen. Some of the packages still had a label with the original price of €4.20. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find out where they were bought. I haven’t seen them anywhere else at such a low price. Usually, a pack of the Feng Shui line costs between 5 and 7 euros. There is 20g in a roll, but there’d be plenty of space for more.

Ingredients: rose, sandalwood, orange, patchouli

Glück der Kinder has a soft, mellow fragrance. The scent is quite sweet, but not cloying. A significant part of this likely comes from the rose. Usually, I’m not in favour of this very sweet rose scent as it quickly becomes too obtrusive for me, but in Glück der Kinder, the orange seems to counterbalance that aspect.
I think some of the orange oil has already evaporated, as I can’t distinctly smell orange, but it is still subtly noticeable in the background. What I do detect is a fine, tart, fruity, and fresh note, which I attribute to it. The sandalwood contributes to the softness and sweetness of the composition, but I don’t find it particularly pronounced. The patchouli is only noticeable if I actually look for it, but it seems to add quite a bit of body to the scent.

Glück der Kinder strikes me as a clever composition that managed to surprise me. It is one of my favourites from this line.
The scent has a calm yet powerful presence and suggests a positive, optimistic energy. It’s a fragrance full of delicate, feminine lightness and creative energy.
