Vijay – Shiv Sandal

I received two of these samples sent from India by my friend Silver in early 2024.

Vijay don’t seem to have a (working) website, but there is a Facebook and Instagram profile.
The brand isn’t available here; in India a 50g pack costs ₹90 (about 0,90€.)

These sandalwood sticks are super inexpensive, but really decent for that. I think they’re similar made to Nikhil’s – Sandal Premium but in contrast to those I find their smell quite attractive.
It’s a nice sandalwood interpretation, with the typical, milky softness, a pleasant sweetness and a woody-powdery base note.
The only thing I have to criticise about Shiv Sandal is a weak, volatile smell, but that doesn’t weigh heavily.

Shiv Sandal is nothing special at all, but if you’re looking for really affordable incense sticks that actually smell good, they’re a good option.
