oneAROMATICS (Auroville) – Sandalwood

I got these two Sandalwood sticks sent from Steve. Here is his review of them.

oneAROMATICS are made in Auroville. Steve ordered them via OneVillage.com; a UK importer.
You can order a pack with 12 different fragrances (of 12 sticks each) for £24 and free delivery (within England).
If you want it delivered to another EU country, the same pack costs £29 including delivery, possibly with additional customs fees and taxes.

The sticks have quite an average sandalwood fragrance with hardly any sweetness, but the typical woody-soft tone.
There’s a peculiar note in the smell that I generally associate with cheaper ‘sandalwood’ incense sticks from India. Also with second-hand shops, for some reason. It must come from a wildly used base ingredient or something similar.

The aroma isn’t consistent throughout the burn. Rarely, just for a few moments, a decent dose of sweetness appears that really makes the fragrance bloom. However, a short time later, the stick smells like before again; not exactly dry, but rather deep, woody and almost earthy.
The sweetness only comes to the fore 1-2 times per stick. It’s probably more coincidence than an intended feature.

oneAROMATICS – Sandalwood are quite OK for affordable sandalwood sticks, but by no means anything special. It’s a simple ‘sandalwood’ type scent.
